Boston By Foot was founded in 1976 to promote public awareness of Boston's outstanding architectural and historical heritage. There are many ways you can help support this effort.

Become A Member

Membership provides you and your family free or discounted admission to Boston By Foot events. It also makes a great gift for that history buff in your life or the loved one who has no idea how to get around and refuses to stop and ask for directions.

A Corporate Membership program is also available.

Become a Docent

We're always looking for new volunteer docents. Perhaps you are the type of person that loves teaching or you appreciate the beauty and the details around you. Maybe you know someone that just can't help telling you stories and you would like to give them something else to do.

Our docents come from all backgrounds of life and all have completed the required Spring Lecture Series and exam.
