fun of it, and have learned so much in the process.

Interested in becoming a Boston By Foot guide? Docent training occurs every Spring. Guides are expected to complete a 6-week training course that includes lectures, field trips, written papers and even a final exam.
Don't let this discourage you! Hundreds of docents have survived it over the past 30 years. All will say that this only marked the beginning of a learning process and that they never walk down the street the same way again.
