TMBG are playing two family shows on May 23 to benefit the volunteer-based nonprofit Boston By Foot (hey, that's us). Included in the low ticket price is a free walking tour!

John Flansburgh and John Linnell created the alternative rock band in 1982. Known for their innovative, clever songs and comical stage props, TMBG has been a pioneer in MP3 downloads, random shuffle, and Dial-A-Song. Their song Boss of Me served as the theme to Malcolm in the Middle and earned them a Grammy in 2002.

Also in 2002, They Might Be Giants released their first family-oriented album, No! featuring flash animations and interactive games. Since then, the band released three more educational albums. Here Come the 123's. earned them another Grammy for "Best Musical Album For Children."

They Might Be Giants has also been featured in Meet The Robinsons, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Sky High. Their most recent album, Here Comes Science, was released in 2009.
