Membership and Communications Intern

Boston By Foot, Inc. seeks an energetic and enthusiastic intern to assist with promoting our organization and programs to members and the general public.

Duties Include

  • Assisting with communications to volunteer docents
  • Assisting with social media, press releases, and newsletters
  • Preparing Constant Contact communications for members and the general public
  • Processing membership renewals for volunteers and members
  • Processing docents' tour information
  • Assisting with other office duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a small, but fast-paced office environment
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task
  • Experience with social media and other internet software
  • Passion for Boston history, architecture, and cultural non-profits

Boston By Foot is a non-profit educational organization founded in 1976 to promote public awareness of Boston's rich architectural and historical heritage through guided walking tours, lecture series, slideshows, and other activities. As one of Boston's oldest and most respected walking tour organizations, our trained and enthusiastic volunteer guides have explored Boston neighborhoods with over 300,000 visitors and residents.
